Our Goals

• Promote and highlight existing projects that are already making a difference within their own communities throughout Nepal.

• Advocate for locally-driven community development efforts and marginalized groups in pursuit of the support of basic rights, opportunities, and social services.

• Effectively provide support through direct grants and sponsorship to those people and organizations that are truly making a difference or in need of our assistance - with a primary focus upon maximizing our impact.

• Fundraise in a transparent, open, and accountable manner, and guarantee at least 90% of all donated funds are transferred directly to their intended targets.

• Monitor through continued communication with our beneficiaries, Nepali contacts, first-hand involvement and observation at site, and quarterly reports.

• Update our supporters, advisors, and board quarterly on all activities, achievements, and finances.

• Evaluate our projects in an open, sincere manner with a primary concern for locally-driven, cost-effective, results-oriented approaches, and through the valued critique and recommendations of our supporters and advisory committee.

• Respond to inquiries, comments, recommendations, suggestions, and critiques in our efforts to bridge the gap between Nepal and the world.

• Serve as an umbrella organization for other offices and projects throughout Nepal, and to provide direct transfer of support, credibility, and accountability through collaborations.

• Act responsibly, professionally, and effectively as catalysts for positive, peaceful change.

• Make a change to the system, challenge the dominant top-down, distant, unrepresentative, and ineffective system with a fresh approach, and too offer a credible, effective alternative.

• Create an online archive and network of the credible, effective, locally-driven Nepali projects spotlighted through Nepal Direct Effects, and promote communication and collaboration.

• Create an online archive and network of credible, effective, mutually rewarding volunteer opportunities within Nepal.
