Our Approach
Direct transfer of funds to the programs and people committed to making a difference within their own communities at the grass-roots
level - the catalysts for change.
We’ve eliminated the top-down, distant approach of salaries, housing, staff, cars, “administrative expenses” and perks to maximize the
cost-benefit and effectiveness of each donated dollar. That’s why we’re volunteers.
With quarterly Projects throughout the year, we will also provide quarterly updates and reports to our supporters, advisory committee, and board
of directors.
We are always open to comments, recommendations, suggestions, and critiques, and value them as essential to our person-to-person direct
connections bridging the gap between Nepal and the world.
Our finances and accounts will always be posted and readily available online so that you can see just exactly where your support has been delivered,
and how effective it has been. You will be able to directly see the impact of your involvement and recognize your efforts as a catalyst for positive change.
Upon completion of our first quarter’s Projects we will also open our books for independent outside review. Supplementing this, Nepal Direct
Effects accounts will be managed and reviewed each quarter and throughout the year by Jim Buckley, accounting Professor at Mesa State
College. Jim has volunteered numerous hours from the initiation of Nepal Direct Effects, and is also our Vice President of Finances.
Of added benefit, Nepal Direct Effects tax-deductible 501 (c) 3 status is pending, meaning your donations and support are both tax-deductible at
the end of the year, and also put to a meaningful, positive, personal cause.
Immediate. Direct. Effective.
Nepal Direct Effects.
